Turn every session at your track into a broadcast-style race, with live positions, AI commentary and race videos riders want to share.

At most go-kart tracks, a session is just laps. Riders can't tell who is winning, there is nothing to listen to but engines, and there is little reason to post about it afterwards. MAGO AI tracks every kart on your circuit, shows live positions on your screens, and has an AI commentator call the race out loud as it happens.

What it is, in plain words

It is a race timing and presentation system for your track. A small tag on each kart tells the system where that kart is. Software turns those positions into laps, places and race moments. Your screens show who is leading, and your speakers carry a commentator who reacts to what is happening on track. Nobody has to count laps by hand.

How it works

  • A small tag is fitted to each kart. Riders don't wear or carry anything.
  • Anchors (fixed receivers) are mounted around the track. Each one measures its distance to every tag.
  • The system combines those distances to work out where each kart is, then counts laps and ranks the riders.
  • The live leaderboard and track map update on your screens, and the AI commentator speaks over your sound system.
  • Each race is recorded with its commentary, so you can play it back afterwards.

What you get

  • A live leaderboard showing each rider's position, laps completed, best lap time and time gap
  • A track map that shows every kart moving around the circuit
  • Automatic lap counting and ranking, with no manual timing
  • AI commentary on overtakes, close battles, the final lap and the finish, spoken with natural text-to-speech
  • A finish announcement for every rider, not just the winner
  • Background music during the race, which dips while the commentator speaks
  • Custom nicknames for each kart, which the commentator uses
  • Race length set in laps to suit your sessions
  • Race recording and replay with the original commentary

MAGO AI is also rolling out race videos riders can share, and can set these up with you.

Who it's for

  • Indoor go-kart tracks that want every session to feel like a real race
  • Family entertainment centres and malls with a kart circuit
  • Corporate events, team building and birthday parties, where a clear winner and a replay make the day

Technical detail: positioning

Positioning uses UWB (ultra-wideband), a short-range radio technology that measures distance precisely. Each anchor sits at a known point around the track and measures its distance to each kart's tag. With three or more anchors, the system works out the kart's position by trilateration: finding a point from its distance to several known points. It uses a least-squares calculation, so small errors in individual readings are balanced out instead of throwing the position off. During setup, the anchor positions are calibrated and your track layout is recorded. UWB anchors suit indoor tracks. Outdoor layouts are assessed case by case.

Technical detail: laps and ranking

A lap only counts once a minimum time has passed since the kart's last crossing, so one pass of the line is never counted twice. You set that minimum to suit your track. Riders are ranked first by laps completed, then by the order in which they crossed the line. When karts cross within a short window of each other, the system flags it as side-by-side racing so the commentator can call the battle. Updates reach your screens over a WebSocket, a live connection that changes the display the moment something happens on track.

Technical detail: commentary and replay

The commentator is an AI language model. It gathers race events over a few seconds, then writes a fresh line about what just happened, which natural text-to-speech reads out. Recording starts when the first kart is detected and runs until the last line of commentary, including the final race summary, has been spoken. Replays run on the same screens at the original timing, with the leaderboard, track map, music and the exact commentary from the race. You can also play them faster or slower.

Do riders need to wear anything?

No. The tag is fitted to the kart, so riders get in and drive as normal.

What language is the commentary in?

The commentary is currently in Mandarin. Other languages are not available yet.

Can we replay a race?

Yes. Each race can be recorded and played back on your screens with its original commentary, at normal, faster or slower speed.

Does it work on outdoor tracks?

The system is designed for indoor tracks. If your circuit is outdoors, tell us about the layout and we will assess it case by case.
